ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the expansion of non-aeronautical & aeronautical facilities to support commercial performance of the Company 

• Develop and expand non-aeronautical & aeronautical commercial revenues across Oman airports to ensure profitability of the Company  

• Build and maintain good relationships between the Oman airports, its primary customers (airlines, passengers, cargo operators), concession providers and third-party suppliers to enhance the Company’s commercial portfolio 

• Develop ways to creatively use airport space for digital advertising 

• Allow retail companies to showcase their products and services to prospective buyers at the airport terminal premises to enhance revenue of the Company 

• Oversee the aeronautical team including fuel farm, ground handling, cargo handling, and flight catering to ensure all activities are being carried out in a timely manner 

• Arrange special events, branded spaces, and sponsored areas amenities to drive non-aeronautical revenues 

• Develop retail initiatives to increase various international brand franchisees in order to enhance revenue growth and brand image

• Drive market research and competitive intelligence in the non-aeronautical & aeronautical area(s) to identify various revenue generating opportunities

• Monitor delivery of non-aeronautical & aeronautical services / products to ensure compliance with the agreed SLAs 

• Review non-aeronautical & aeronautical facilities to ensure that Oman airports offer a world class airport services experience to its airport users 

• Develop control systems to monitor the progress in order to take actions that will ensure targets are met in a timely manner  

• Identify potential business partners in order to build and develop relationships to enhance the Company’s commercial portfolio

• Develop and track non-aeronautical & aeronautical concession budgets and investigate any variances

• Conduct a comparative evaluation of tenders in order to ensure the most viable tender is recommended 

• Lead the non-aeronautical & aeronautical team’s recruitment, selection, development, training, performance management and succession planning to ensure availability of a skilled workforce 

• Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing regular feedback and coaching in line with good people management practices


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS• Must be an Omani National

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Sales and Retail (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

• Minimum 12 years’ experience business development, retail marketing or a related field (preferably in the Aviation/Airport Sector)
